After the leaky tap last night in Sean and Lisa’s  van it was an emergency to buy a new one. So Sean and Glenn drove off to Krakow to get a new one while Lisa and I minded the spot. We spread out our chairs and table to make sure no one else drove in. We got up to date on this blog and Lisa’s journal. 

After some traffic jams the boys were back. The boys were then busy fitting the tap so the girls could go out to check out the latest action in town.

We went to the traditional festival area where we checked out the many stalls with wood carvings, smoked cheese, lace, knitting and pottery.

  I bought Glenn a new friend – a wooden carved hoopoo. 

The music then started and Bulgarian dancers arrived with traditional costumes – the girls in peasant outfits and the boys in white tunics and trousers with straw hats and flowers. We saw lots of jumping, thigh slapping and unusual leg movements from the boys and loud rhythmic chanting from the girls. 

We then moved on to Poland with the theme of a traditional wedding. It was a bit dull with lots of talking and only one person singing. As there was no exciting jumping and thigh slapping we left doing a bit of shopping on the way back to the van. 

We found the boys drinking beer in the beer garden. They had fitted the tap and were quite happy. We then went into the on-site restaurant for dinner. It was very nice inside with dimmed lights and tinkly piano music. We found a table with views of the mountains. 

We started with a bit of the smoked cheese and cranberry sauce – still interesting. 

Then Lisa and I had the roast trout which was delicious. Glenn had the pork knuckle and Sean had a truffle burger. Everyone was very happy with their dish. We switched the heating on for a blast as it was very chilly and went to bed nice and cosy.
