We had a nice breakfast and lots more catching up with Ruth and Geoff so we left later around 11am.

We tried to dodge the Edinburgh roadworks but still got held up for 10 minutes. We eventually got on our way and enjoyed crossing the new bridge the Queensferry crossing across the Forth.

We had no further delays and arrived at mums to have our lunch there. She is looking well but thinner – good for turning 86 this year.
We had our quick lunch and put laundry on then drove down to check into the Forfar campsite and get set up in the lovely location beside Forfar loch.
Went walked back to mums- a short 15 minutes walk mostly through parks. It was cocktail time so we sat outside for drinks in the sun. It felt hot in the sun out of the chilly wind.

Mum had made dinner – marinated prawns with avocado wrap – very nice considering mum doesn’t do much cooking any more.
We watched a bit of the Spain vs France semi final World Cup match – Spain deserved to win.
We then walked 15 minutes back to campsite at 10pm – it was cool but still not dark.
It was very quiet beside the loch so we had a good sleep.
