We woke up in Canterbury aire and were soon on the road to Dover to get our ferry to Dunkirk, France.

We were glad we had left early when we saw the queue – nearly back to the roundabout approaching the ferry terminal.

It took us 2 hours to get to the ferry loading area. 

We then made our sandwiches and soon we were loaded onto the ferry.

The white cliffs of Dover were very white on leaving the harbour. 

In a short 2 hours we landed in Dunkirk. 

We then drove around 1.5 hours to the Urban Gardens campsite in the edge of Ghent. It was nice and shady with lots of vegetation. The facilities are also very good. 

After dinner we checked out the beach on the lake next to the campsite – there were still a few swimmers at 9.30pm.

On the way back there was a large population of rabbits on the putt putt golf course. They seemed to be having a meeting.

We then went to bed – an hour earlier due to the time difference but glad to be there.
