Porec to Rovinj

We left the campsite near Porec early just as the kiddies were coming out to play at the playground right next to us – a lucky escape!

We went to find a carpark nearer Porec within walking distance. They were all only one that accepted motorhomes charged 5 euro per hour – a big rip off. So we decided to forget Porec and keep going.

We continued to our next stop near Rovinj. We again couldn’t find a motorhome carpark and managed to get in early to our next campsite – Camping UlikeRovinj. It’s an adults only campsite with a small pool and a bar with high quality snacks – so very nice. We have a well shaded spot in the corner.

Once there it was a bit warm for cycling so we spent some time planning our next stops and Glenn put our new white rimmed tyres on our bikes. They look new again – nearly!

Once it got cooler we went to check out the beaches and have a swim.

There are rocks and pebbly beaches along the coast with lovely islands not far away. There are also hundreds of people everywhere.

We eventually found a quieter spot on some rocks and went in for a swim there. They were all water is amazingly clear.

We then cycled back to the campsite and listened to the Australian Hottest 100 while having dinner of chicken and bean casserole – a nice end to the day.

Trieste was a crazy beach day too. After we went to Miramare castle we opted for a swim. It was less crowded in the water. A sea of bodies under pine trees
