I haven’t written anything for a few days as we received some shockingly bad news.
Our very good friend Rab Pringle who I have know for over 45 years from Edinburgh university days suddenly collapsed and died on Golspie golf course.
Helen his wife is my best friend from university. They both met there and married 40 years ago with me as a bridesmaid. Their son Craig is now around 25 years old.
My first post on our 2025 trip included us all here:
Rab and Helen are the most fantastic friends to me and we have had many great times together. They have always helped me out whatever the situation.
Rab has been the kindest and most genuine, solid person you could ever come across. I’ve never known him to panic or get upset under any situation. He can solve any problem – having a 1st class honours in physics.
We will miss him so much.

To Helen and Craig we offer our most heartfelt condolences and any help we can give in the future. We will always be there for you.
Rab always encouraged us to retire early – as he did – and said we got an A+ for the travelling we have been doing these few years. He also had a good retirement life doing a lot of travelling while looking after the older relatives.
So we can all learn from Rab and enjoy every moment in life.
