We woke to a lovely morning at Pannecot with the ducks.

A baguette and 4 croissants were delivered to the campsite – a total cost of 3 euros. We enjoyed the delicious croissants and the gourmet jam Angela had bought in Dijon for breakfast.

We enjoyed the long sections without any locks – in lovely sunshine.

Glenn became the captain again. As we were the only boat it was very still and we got good reflections in the water.

In the afternoon Angela got on a bicycle and investigated the interesting sights around. Oli enjoyed a rest while keeping an eye on Glenn.

We arrived in Chatillon again and moored up in the marina. We needed supplies so me and Glenn walked up to the supermarket. We found cans of snails – 8 dozen for 16.99 euro.

Steve the full time boatie who Glenn and I met in the aire near Corbigny was also at Chatillon so we met up for a drink at the marina bar.

He entertained us all again- he is very full of life in his 70s. It is hard work doing locks in a boat by yourself.

We all then went back to our boat for left over curry. It was a good night and Steve said he had enjoyed himself very much.

We left the snails in the shop. In my experience they are like elastic bands in garlic sauce. Great views everywhere!
