We started the day with a visit from my niece Jess and 3 week old Margot. Glenn and Margot got on very well – they both have the same birthday separated by 60 years. They both were very sleepy.

Then in the afternoon Glenn, Mum and I went to the Ham Wall RSPB bird reserve near Glastonbury Tor. It was a very warm day and made it a lovely walk to the bird hide.

There were bitterns booming – but we didn’t spot any as they are a very shy bird.

On the way home we picked up bbq ingredients that we whipped up when we got home.

The Aussie Barbie

There were quite a few vegetables alongside the meat – so not too unhealthy! Everyone enjoyed it.
