We woke up in a real bed – a treat for us – and the sun was shining. After breakfast we set off to climb Moel Famau , the highest hill in the welsh county Flintshire.
The views are beautiful all around.

It is a good path and gradual to begin with. It then gets steeper towards the end. Sean and Glenn got to the top of the Jubilee Tower first. The Jubilee was for Mad King George III in 1817. The tower was not built well and started falling down in 1826.

It was easier going down – but you did have to be careful on the slippery gravel. We could see the path disappearing into the distance.

We eventually got down to the carpark and drove down the single track road stopping many times before the bottom. We drove back to Mold and got ready to set off on our travels again.
We said goodbye to Olwyn and thanked her very much for her hospitality.

We also said goodbye to Lisa and Sean for a few days. We will see then for a night in Hove but then they have to wait to get their own van which is being fixed under warranty. They have been provided with a hire van at no cost in the meantime.
We drove not too far to Wroexeter just outside Shrewsbury next to the site of a ruined Roman city – the 4th biggest in the UK. The site is a small club CL site – Glebe Farm – a lovely quiet spot.

We relaxed sitting outside initially. Glenn then got into doing jobs around the van including replacing bulbs etc.
I made dinner and we watched the US Golf Open which stopped for a while due to a storm. It was getting late so we couldn’t hang on to see the end unfortunately.
