We woke up the next day in Wetzlar after our big day at Nürburgring and drove around 200km east to our next destination of Eisenach. We found the best 2 shady spots on the aire next to the Fritz Berger camping shop and motorhome repair shop.

It is very comfortable here with good toilet and shower facilities and a little pergola opposite our pitches.
After lunch we checked out the camping shop where Lisa purchased some good storage items.
We then went for the shade to keep out of the heat. Lisa and I got onto getting up to date with our blogs and journaling etc while the boys went to the shop for a few items.
Later we had a bbq with our 2 smokeless bbqs.

Lisa had bought lovely sausages from the French farm shop where they had stayed.
We also had lots of vegetables and halloumi on the bbq – all accompanied by a salad. They were all excellent.
While we were washing up some other campers came for a chat. Carsten from Switzerland is returning from Poland where he particularly enjoyed himself. He said the coffee is very good – which is surprising to us as we have heard the opposite. I think if you search out the good Italian coffee there are places there.
He obviously enjoyed chatting as he gave us some Swiss chocolate before we all headed for bed.
