We needed to get cash to pay for the campsite so we made a trip to the nearest town Koprivnica.
It was the Assumption of Mary public holiday so only the tourist information was open – and many cafes.
We gout our cash and checked out the major sights in the town within 10 minutes. The town is on a couple of big cycle routes so had sculptures of old bicycles.

The church was from 1657. The surrounding buildings do look old.

The park had interesting trees and sculptures – and our friend Dorothy was there.

We stopped for an iced coffee in the main square – it was now over 30 degrees.

We needed some groceries so as there was no holiday in Hungary, only 20 minutes drive away, we decided to go there.
On the way were many stork nests – some with storks in them.

We went through a deserted checkpoint and entered Hungary.

In the town of Berzence we found the largest supermarket around – not very big and a bit old fashioned – it had price stickers on everything, half the shop was hardware and the checkout assistant had to press buttons. However I got a few groceries and a lot of anti-mosquito items. I had no idea what the final amount was at the checkout as the currency is in forints. It turned out to be very reasonable.
We had an icecream and then headed back across the border.

The border crossing was as deserted as before.

We stopped at the town of Gola where all the stork nests are. There is a huge painted egg in the main street.

We returned to a busier campsite and the beach bar was opening. We had a cool swim and chilled out for the rest of the day while the bar was buzzing- a nice change.
